Finally home

I broke my camera while in Ohio, or I would have all kinds of neat pictures for you. I am trying to decide if I should just go ahead and buy another one for the move, because the stinking replacement plan that I bought is a mail in plan, and can take up to eleventymillion weeks. I really want to document the4 move, so I might just buy a camera or borrow one from my SIL who has a slight camera addiction and has 7 or 8 to choose from.

I really need to buy me a stinking laptop. We came home and set up the wireless router in mere seconds. The guy at Best Buy made it sound like it would take hours, and in fact offered to sell us a service for $30 that would make it easy. Now wasn't that nice of him? So now I can sit anywhere and waste time on the internet, as opposed to having to walk over to my desktop. How archaic!

Did I tell you that the report date has been set for October 6th? (I am sitting on my bed using Marty's laptop and my butt is asleep. I am not bothering to look back.) Well, it might be changed again, so if I did just forget that date. We will hopefully know for sure today what the final date is.

The 6th was supposed to be the final date, but there is a problem with our lease ending before we would be able to leave if he had to be there on the 6th. Our landlord, ever the thorough German, set a time in our lease that we have to leave by. Seriously. It says "by 10 AM the last day of the final month of the lease." That 10AM thing is causing all kinds of problems.

We (meaning Christian) have decided that our first big sight seeing trip once we get down there should be to New Orleans - you know, "for lunch."

So now am off to pack and plan meals. We have a lot of food to use up, so things might get a little crazy around here. Chicken, oatmeal and collard greens, anyone?
